UC Libraries provide access to a wide range of Research Data and Geographic Information Services (GIS) services and resources for the campus community. Informationists and librarians are available to assist researchers in managing and preserving research data, finding and acquiring external data, and in utilizing GIS techniques and software.  The library also provides a variety of computing and collaboration spaces to support researchers.

The UC Libraries provide access to Sage Learning Resources, including Sage Skills and Sage Research Methods. 

Sage Skills includes modules on Data Literacy, Research Skills, Information Literacy, and more. Sage Research Methods provides tools such as Methods Maps, a Research Project Planner, Reading Lists, and other useful resources to support students' research.  

Students can find these resources by visiting UC Libraries' A-Z Databases and searching "Sage" in the Database Title/Keyword section.

UC's Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition challenges students to summarize their research or scholarship for a non-specialist audience using only three minutes of speech and a single PowerPoint slide. 

Graduate students from every college are encouraged to compete, and winners receive prize funds. More information can be found on the Graduate College Three Minute Thesis Competition page.

ICPSR is an international consortium of 800+ academic and research bodies providing leadership and training in data access, curation, and analytical methods for social science. ICPSR helps researchers find, share, and manage data while also providing additional resources for building data skills.
