Program Overview
The graduate program in audiology is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. The program involves an in-depth study of hearing, asessment and management of hearing disorders for children and adults, coupled with practicum experience in audiology.
The AuD program requires four years of study, with a full-time internship in the final year.
Eighteen doctoral faculty in the Department of Communications Sciences and Disorders, as well as faculty in other departments and adjunct faculty in the community, provide expertise and research mentoring in a wide variety of scientific and clinical aspects of audiology.

Admission Requirements
• Graduate Record Examination score of 500 or better for each of the verbal and quantitative sections and a 4.5 or above for the written/analytical section.
• Typed 1-2 page narrative goals statement/essay of academic and professional objectives
• A resume showing previous work experience, outside activities, scholarships, and honors.
• A 3.0 minimum overall undergraduate grade point average.
• An original official transcript from each university attended. One official final transcript(s) with bachelors and/or additional degree(s) posted is/are required upon completion of the degree program(s).
• Three letters of recommendation relative to prospective students academic promise.
