The Graduate School at the University of Cincinnati will hold
its annual Graduate Poster Forum on Friday, March 6 2009, in
conjunction with
Graduate Recruitment Weekend. The 2009 Graduate Poster
Forum will take place on the ground floor of the
Marriott Kingsgate Conference Center.
Graduate students at the University of Cincinnati in all
disciplines are invited to share their research in poster
format. This adjudicated event offers a unique opportunity
for students to learn to present and communicate their ideas
to scholars outside of their own fields, as well as showcase
their research to the UC community. Each poster is judged in
one of four broad discipline Poster Categories: 1)
Life/physical Sciences and Engineering 2) Social, Behavioral
and Economic Sciences and Education 3) Arts and Humanities 4)
Darwin Evolution Theory: Evidence, Impact and Application.
Prizes will be awarded for outstanding posters in each
category.
The Darwin's Evolution Theory: Evidence, Impact and
Application poster category has been added to this
year's event in conjunction with UC's year-long anniversary
celebration of the
150 years since the publication of Darwin's theory of
evolution in "On the Origin of Species."
Graduate students from all disciplines are invited to submit
poster presentations in this category that focus on aspects
of Charles Darwin's life, his work and the diverse ways in
which evolutionary theory continues to influence research and
thought in biology and other fields. Faculty judges with
related expertise will be judging posters in this category.
Registration is closed.
