Applying for Federal Financial Aid
Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid (work-study and loan) consideration as soon as soon as possible after January 1 because funding in some programs is limited and awarded on a first-come first-served basis. To apply, a student either completes a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) paper application or the FAFSA application via the Web. To complete FAFSA on the Web, go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students who completed the FAFSA last year may renew by using their U.S. Department of Education-issued PIN number. Since most information does not change, this is generally a quick process. Students who misplace their PIN number should consult this website.
