The distinguished faculty of the University of Cincinnati are active scholars and researchers that include Fulbright Fellows, Ohio Eminent Scholars, NEH fellows,ASCAP award winners, NASA researchers, Guggenheim Fellows, presidents of national professional organizations, medical pioneers who discovered a genetic link to lung cancer and interpreters of our past who excavated Troy.

A few examples of their significant and diverse achievements are:

  • excavating in Albania, Greece and Cyprus
  • developing Benadryl and the Sabin oral polio vaccine
  • reconstructing ancient earthworks - virtually
  • creating a chemistry lab that fits on a microchip
  • performing surgery from miles away
  • translating the “language” of the Asmat people of New Guinea - visually
  • researching climate change from the Arctic to the Alps
  • formulating the cardiac imaging agent, Cardiolite
