The databases linked below contain numererous opportunities for graduate funding. Many of these databases contain key word searchable compendia of graduate fellowship and scholarship information in the arts, humanities, and sciences. Students can also visit the Office of Research website and the Sponsored Research Services website for additional funding opportunities.

A huge searchable database with many searching options. The fellowships one can find in a search do not necessarily all fall into the science fields.

NC State University Graduate School Fellowships List
A very comprehensive list of the basic nationally competitive fellowships organized by due date. These fellowships are not necessarily particular to NC State University's students.
Grants.gov
A searchable database of government-sponsored fellowship programs. One can perform keyword searches or browse by field area.
FastWeb
A funding opportunities search site sponsored by Monster.com. Users must provide personal information to participate in a free search of this site (i.e., email address).
IRIS
An easily searchable database covering all fields of study sponsored by the libraries at the University of Illinois--Champaign. Also includes an "alert service" which allows users to set up a profile, and the database will automatically forward all applicable fellowship announcements to your email. If you are on a campus of a subscribing institution, you can access IRIS to search for grant opportunities. The University of Cincinnati is a subscribing institution.
